I have a huge, wonderful family and they're spending Thanksgiving at my house. I thought I would make it?

a real Thanksgiving, and have all the grandchildren and great children help out by slaughtering the turkey, pulling the feathers, cleaning it and cooking it like the Pilgrims did. I thought it would be a great spiritual experience, but I'm worried about the authorities. If we make it a religious sacrifice, would that make it legal?
