If you have a 4 year degree and p testing and Officer Candidate school you will become an officer. NROTC will help you be physically and mentally ready for those challenges, but the college degree is also necessary to get you into OCS. There are many engineering jobs in the navy. My best suggestion is to find one that can easily turn into a civilian job when you geet out of the navy... Like Pilot, Nuclear (power plant work), but beng a seal and infantry type jobs usually don't get you high paying careers in the civilian world..
